Kara Throw:

*Roundhouse

Strong

*Note - roundhouse karathrow give you more distance for the throw

Naysayism 2.0 random tip: For all combos using cr. short, cr forward, and cr strong; you can neutral charge and use standing short, forward, and strong instead.

Basic Combos:

From Anywhere:

*cr. jab x2, rrf

*cr. short, rrf

*cr. strong, rrf

*cr. fierce, rrf

(air to air) jumping fierce, rrf

*Note - deep jump in roundhouse and fierce punch hit confirms into these combos.*

Opponent in Corner:

(jab) lov, dash, cbk

cr. fierce, (short) cbk, rrf

(air to air) jumping fierce, (short) cbk, rrf

* neutral throw, rrf

*Note - must kara cancel rrf with cr. strong*

Basic Links:

close standing strong

close standing foward

**crouching two jabs

crouching strong

*universal overhead

*Note - you have to be a certain distances to link the universal overhead to super art 1 and 2. You can set up this link by doing two crouching jabs.*

** Note - a cancel, not a link.**

Other Combos:

While enemy is in corner:

(charge partition) overhead universal, cr. short, rrf (or super art 1 or 2)

(jab) lov, dash, ex cbk, (short or foward) rrf *

(jab) lov, dash x2, close fierce, super art 2

(jab) lov, dash x2, close foward, super art 2

(jab) lov, dash x2, cr. short, super art 1 or 2

(jab) lov, dash x2 (charge partioning durning dashes), jab x2, rrf

(jump in deep) fierce or roundhouse, cr. fierce, (short) cbk, rrf

ex lov, dash x2, super art 1 or 2

Random Tips:

Remy's best normal poke for a tick throw is crouching short

Parry bait opponents with (jab or short) lov, dash in, then throw

Parry bait opponents with (jab or short) lov, then use a cbk

Set up Remy's normal overhead (6+foward) with a (short lov)

Use normal pokes: standing fierce, standing forward, and crouching forward, to keep opponents away.

Never use crouching roundhouse!!!

Nay - that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Later on I'll add: hit and damage count to each combo, explain charge partitioning/buffer canceling, how to do Remy's rapid fire lov trick, and more random tips.

here's a little tip from me that I've found incredibly useful
('specially 'gainst the TSC)

if they're turtling do cr. short, cbk (short), throw

do the cr. short, cbk as a two-in-one (it won't combo) but these are the outcomes.

if they're turtling and block the cbk you get a free throw 'cause they'll be in block stun.

if you've been tick throwing like a good Street Fighter then they're gonna expect a throw and get nailed by the cbk.

if they're parrying the above two situations still apply. The only problem you run into is when you abuse it and they start parrying the cbk.

You have to be really deep for this one and your timing has to be right on
but it's really, REALLY useful.

Good to see another Remy player... I'll post up any of my tricks that you miss... I'ld be interested to know what you have to say about charge partitioning because thats what I'm currently learning.

(and RH kara throw kicks ass, it seems to almost put Remys throw at shoto low forward range (almost))

Thanks man, another useful tip is using the cold blue kick correctly. You should always try to aim for the shins, so after a blocked or parried cbk, you should be safe.

Here is a converstation I had with GhengisKhang from Houston:

ghengiskhang: you need to mention that st. forward is his best link
ghengiskhang: it hits mid and must be parried high
Naysayism: alright
ghengiskhang: here's something sneaky you can do
ghengiskhang: if they ever jump in at you looking to parry an anti-air
ghengiskhang: do a close st. jab with Remy
ghengiskhang: it recovers REALLY fast
ghengiskhang: but here's where the magic comes in
ghengiskhang: if they parry, you can easily confirm and go for cr. fierce into a juggle combo
ghengiskhang: it's really hard to hit Remy after parrying that st. jab
Naysayism: alright
ghengiskhang: if the jab hits
ghengiskhang: dash under and do st. forward
Naysayism: right
ghengiskhang: you'll end up behind him with plenty of time to link SA 2
Naysayism: lovely
Naysayism: lol
ghengiskhang: pretty much a win-win situation if they try to parry your anti-airs

excellent! I'll have to try that...

another nifty little parry bait for a jump in is st. fierce xx flash kick

what I'll do is duck like I'm gonna use cr. fierce then instead I'll stand
up and hit fierce then use the flash kick (sort of a charge partition)

if they parry it's a nice little surprise to see the flash kick right after it...
and if they get hit by it you get a pretty solid juggle.

I'll give the st. jab thing a try though... good stuff

This is really old saved chat, I guess it's useful if you don't know it already:

ghengiskhang: something that will help your throwing game, is to
ghengiskhang: tick throw every now and then
ghengiskhang: then after you conditioned them to expect a tick throw
ghengiskhang: you go for a combo instead of a throw
ghengiskhang: example
ghengiskhang: Remy can do low short, walk up throw
ghengiskhang: after throwing the guy for a while, he's gonna start looking for your throw
ghengiskhang: next time you do low short
ghengiskhang: instead of walking up and throwing
ghengiskhang: walk up and do close forward
Naysayism: walk, or dash?
ghengiskhang: and link into the super if it hits
ghengiskhang: walk
ghengiskhang: after blocking one short, it's too close to warrent dashing
ghengiskhang: that's just wasted time you spend moving
